School Meals
School meals are prepared on site in the school kitchen. If your child has any dietary requirements we will accomodate any needs if you cintact the school office.
School meals offer a selection of freshly cooked main meals and desserts every day, often including pasta, salad, fresh fruit and yoghurt, for only £2.70 per day or £13.50 per week.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with a free hot dinner every day or children may bring in a packed lunch from home.
We encourage healthy eating at school and for that reason prefer children to not bring sweets, chocolate bars or similarly unhealthy snacks. We ask that they bring water or fruit juice for their lunch, no fizzy drinks.
We take part in a number of events to promote healthy eating and letters will be sent home to promote this.
Our School council meet regulrly with the school cook to ensure that pupil voice is listened to and adapt the menus accordinging to what the children want (within reason!!!). Our menus includes all the children's favourites and is fully compliant with Government standards which state that we must include one portion of fruit and veg/salad per child.
