They investigate how materials dissolve, change state, and react, learning to explain reversible and irreversible changes through hands-on experiments. Alongside this, pupils study the life cycles of mammals, amphibians, insects, and birds, comparing reproduction processes and observing growth and development in plants and animals, inspired by naturalists like David Attenborough and Jane Goodall. |
Summer |
Reproduction Reversible and Irreversible Changes Animals including Humans |
In the summer term, pupils delve into the fascinating world of reproduction, exploring how plants and animals, including humans, reproduce and grow. They investigate reversible and irreversible changes in materials, understanding processes like dissolving, burning, and rusting through practical experiments. Pupils also study human development from birth to old age, learning about the stages of growth and the changes experienced during puberty. |
