Leader in Me

At Oakfield Primary & Nursery School, through Leader in Me, we aim to unleash the greatness in students, educators and the school community. Leader in Me empowers pupils to be leaders in their own lives, whilst considering the influence and difference they can make on the lives of others. It celebrates a creates a culture of trust, pride and engagement in all year groups, by teaching leadership principles and lessons, which can be applied consistently within the classroom and beyond.

Leader in Me offers the opportunity for all pupils to develop tools and life skills to support them achieving goals in all environments, through the ‘7 Habits of Highly Effective People’, taught explicitly alongside, and throughout, the school curriculum, whilst being modelled by all staff.

Our vision is that by the time our pupils leave Oakfield, they will be able to communicate, collaborate and have consideration and self-confidence instilled in them to succeed as a leader in the future, knowing that they can have a positive impact on the world.
