Curriculum Enrichment
Curriculum Enrichment at Oakfield Community Primary School and Nursery
At Oakfield, our curriculum enrichment is deeply rooted in our core values of inclusivity, equity, and nurturing every pupil’s unique potential. We believe that learning extends beyond the classroom, providing all pupils with rich, diverse experiences that inspire confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Our enrichment activities are designed to ensure every pupil feels a true sense of belonging—a place where they can grow in confidence and be safe in their identity. Through a broad range of opportunities, including creative arts, practical science, outdoor learning, and community engagement, pupils develop independence and resilience. These experiences complement our strong academic curriculum, helping pupils to embrace challenge and take ownership of their learning journey.
By fostering a culture of compassion, consistency, and connection, Oakfield ensures that curriculum enrichment supports the development of the whole child, empowering them to flourish as confident, capable learners and valued members of ‘The Oakfield Family.’

We loved taking part in the Generation Wild programme last academic year. We have been recognised for the amazing things to care for nature and wildlife and as a result, we received an award with a Schools For Nature certificate signed by Sir David Attenborough.
The awarding of our certificate is part of a wider ‘Schools For Nature’ campaign celebrating the important role that schools have to play in supporting nature and creating the next generation of nature-lovers.
