Transition to High School

STARTING SECONDARY SCHOOL – SEPTEMBER 2027 ADMISSION TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS FOR HALTON RESIDENTS

Applications are now open online  for parents/carers of  children in Year 6 wishing to make an application for their child to start Secondary School in September 2027.

The deadline for Secondary 2027 applications is  31st  October 2026. Don ’t be late as this is likely to reduce your chances of being offered a place at your three preferred schools.

If you are unable to apply online  please email  schooladmissions@halton.gov.uk for a paper application form, or these can also be collected from any Halton Direct Link Office.

2nd March 2027 Notification of outcome of preference available online, to those who applied online, and letter posted to parents of paper applicants 31st March 2027

Pupils with an EHCP do not apply online. Annual reviews will be held and the paperwork completed will be sent to High Schools.
