PSHE (Including RSE)
Our aim for PSHE/RSE education is to support all children to equip themselves with the knowledge, skills, and attributes needed to manage their lives both now and in the future. PSHE/RSE supports pupils' personal development, helping them build resilience, confidence, and social skills essential for positive relationships and mental well-being. PSHE covers important topics such as health and well-being, relationships, and economic understanding, enabling pupils to make informed decisions, stay safe, and contribute positively to society. By embedding PSHE in the curriculum, schools foster a safe and supportive environment where pupils learn to navigate challenges, understand diversity, and develop a strong sense of responsibility and citizenship. We take an equitable, engaging and holistic approach to prepare pupils not only academically but also socially and emotionally for life beyond school.

Retrieval Templates
Retrieval practice is a teaching and learning strategy underpinned by cognitive science. It is a well-researched method that helps improve studentsβ knowledge retention of new information and recall of previously learned content. Our weekly retrieval activities are designed to activate prior learning for children and allow teachers to explore deeper understanding through extension questions and higher-order questions. Image retrievals provide open-ended, high-ceiling opportunities for learners (these can be supported by additional scaffolds where necessary).Β
