Group and Classify Living Things Data Collection States of Matter |
Year 4 pupils explore the fascinating world of living things by grouping and classifying animals and plants, understanding how habitats change throughout the year, and learning about the human digestive system and states of matter, including how materials change state in the water cycle. |

Electricity Energy Data Collection Habitats Biodiversity |
In the spring term, pupils explore Electricity by constructing simple circuits, identifying components, and understanding conductors and insulators, while learning important safety precautions. They develop their scientific inquiry skills through Data Collection, observing and recording information to answer questions about living things and their environments. |

The Digestive System Food Chains Sound Data Collection |
Pupils explore the human digestive system, learning the functions of key organs and comparing different types of teeth and their roles. They investigate food chains to understand producers, predators, and prey, developing their scientific thinking through observation and data collection. Additionally, pupils study sound by exploring how vibrations create noise, examining pitch and volume, and using hands-on activities to deepen their understanding of how sound travels. |
